Frequently Asked Questions

A liquid flow meter measures the flow rate or volume of liquid moving through a pipe. It ensures accuracy in various applications, including industrial processes, water management, and chemical dosing systems for both low and high temperature applications.

A volumetric flow instrument measures the volume of fluid passing through a system over time. It provides accurate flow readings for liquids or gases, essential in industrial, commercial, and scientific applications.

Turbine flow meters perform best at 1-10 cP viscosity, with an acceptable range up to 100 cP. Higher viscosity slows the rotor, while very low viscosity reduces accuracy. Check manufacturer specifications. This includes water, chemicals, and hydraulic fluids.

Choosing the right flow meter depends on factors like the type of liquid, temperature, pressure, flow rate, pipe size, and whether the liquid contains particulates. You should also consider accuracy requirements.

Turbine flow meters offer cost-effective, high-accuracy measurement with fast response times for clean liquids and gases. Coriolis meters provide mass flow but are more expensive, complex, and less ideal for high-volume applications.

An in-line flow meter is a device used to measure the flow rate of liquids directly within a pipe. Unlike insertion flow meters, in-line flow meters are installed as part of the pipeline, allowing for precise and continuous flow measurements. They are commonly used in various industries, including oil, water, chemical, and pharmaceutical.
